How can I get access to the event?

Due to the recent Covid Policy by the State of California and by the City and County of San Francisco, we will only admit ticket holders who are fully vaccinated to droidcon SF 2022, proof is mandatory.

Please note the following health and safety regulations that we are following:

  • Access to the venue is restricted to fully vaccinated persons (Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson&Johnson) only (digital proof of vaccination plus ID will be requested at registration).

  • Masks are mandatory everywhere inside the venue - we will also offer masks at the registration desk (volunteers will help to remind all attendees to wear the masks at all times)

  • We will ask all participants to voluntarily test themselves at home before attending dcSF22 and to come to the event really negative only.

  • Registration process: the UCSF daily health screener must be completed on all conference days. Please complete the screener every day before you enter the venue (also on June 1 for setup). Staff at the registration desk must ask each attendee to show an entry pass that they have completed the screener.

  • Food and beverages can only be served and consumed outside the venue: No water or coffee in the conference room must be consumed outside, Atrium, Robertson foyer. Collection areas outside each room entrance will be set up. No breakfast or lunch items may be consumed inside, no exceptions. 

  • The distribution and serving of food and drinks in the sponsor area are not allowed at all

  • The Mission Bay Conference Center is operated by UCSF (Medical background) and like us has the absolute goal that the dcSF is conducted completely without Covid cases. To support this, we are required to obtain additional Attendee data to scan at-risk individuals as appropriate. Can I get a refund for my order in case I need to cancel?

Yes, you can cancel your order up to 30 days before the event. 

My promo code didn’t work, what do I do?

Please email us your order number and promo code that you used and we’ll look into that.

Can I buy a student ticket if I’m enrolled in an online course like Android Basics by Google Nanodegree Program from Udacity? If so, what proof do I need to show as proof that I am a current student?

Please show us some kind of confirmation email from Udacity etc. that confirms you’re enrolled in Android related course.

Can you send me a visa invitation letter?

Yes, we can issue a visa invitation letter after you bought a ticket. Please fill this typform with your personal information.

Are there options to participate in a Diversity & Inclusion program?

Sadly we cannot help with travel or accommodation costs but want to take the opportunity do offer diversity tickets through our great community partners Women Who Code.

What is a CFP?

CFP is short for Call for Papers. Call for Papers is when we ask people to submit their talk proposals and then choose the best ones to go into the conference program.

Can I submit a talk for droidcon SF?

CFP opens up on January 11, 2022​

Who’s going to choose talks for droidcon SF?

The Program Committee consists of members of the Android community. A list of the Program Committee will later be published on droidcon.sf.website.

When will I know if my talk was selected?

Please allow about 2 weeks for the Program Committee to vote and choose talks. Selected speakers will get an acceptance email from organizers by the end of April.

When can I see the program?

The first talks will be on the conference website in early May.
